Top 10 supernatural romance/ shoujo anime ( part 1)

Shoujo and romance anime are all’s favorite and when it get mix with some supernatural stuff than nothing is there more to ask for. So here are my personal favourite list of shoujo/romance with supernatural anime.

NOTE- try to watch the anime in the same order as I recommend here . it will make your experience better and probably will let you understand the emotions of anime a little better. Starting from no. 10 towards no. 1. And the number given to anime in this post does not represent their ratings from worst to best but shows the order for watching them.

10 . Yamada kun to 7 nin no majo

Genres: Romantic comedy, Harem, Occult Fiction

Synopsis – Ryu Yamada is known as a delinquent in his high school; he has been bored of classes after one year of attending school. One day, he accidentally falls from a flight of stairs onto Urara Shiraishi, the ace student of the school. Yamada wakes up to find that he has swapped bodies with her.

Synopsis – Fushimi Inari is a shy, not-so-bright middle school girl living in Kyoto’s Fushimi ward. She has a crush on her classmate Tanbabashi, but cannot express her feelings. One day, as thanks for helping a fox pup, the deity Ukanomitamanokami grants her the ability to change her form.

But when she discovers that said home is a rundown shrine, she tries to leave; however, she is caught by two shrine spirits and a fox familiar named Tomoe. They mistake her for the man Nanami rescued—the land god of the shrine, Mikage. Realizing that Mikage must have sent her there as a replacement god, Tomoe leaves abruptly, refusing to serve a human.

Synopsis – The Shirakiin house’s daughter, Shirakiin Ririchiyo, who has a complex about being unable to live independently and unprotected, feels the need to move out and live on her own under the condition of residing in the mansion named “Ayakashi Kan”. In this mansion, only those who have cleared a very strict examination could reside in it, and for each resident, they are accompanied with one agent of the Secret Service (S.S.). Although Ririchyo has rejected the company of the S.S., while residing in the mansion she finds out that the agent dedicated to protecting her is actually the fox spirit whom she had previously rescued.

synopsis – Otonashi awakens only to learn he is dead. A rifle-toting girl named Yuri explains that they are in the afterlife, and Otonashi realizes the only thing he can remember about himself is his name. Yuri tells him that she leads the Shinda Sekai Sensen (Afterlife Battlefront) and wages war against a girl named Tenshi. Unable to believe Yuri’s claims that Tenshi is evil, Otonashi attempts to speak with her, but the encounter doesn’t go as he intended.

synopsis – One day, Naho Takamiya receives a letter written to herself from ten years in the future. As Naho reads on, the letter recites the exact events of the day, including the transfer of a new student into her class named Kakeru Naruse. The Naho from ten years later repeatedly states that she has many regrets, and she wants to fix these by making sure the Naho from the past can make the right decisions, especially regarding Kakeru. While watching fruits basket you will have two options either you can watch the previous show (2001 ) or new one (2019). The new one also have 2nd and 3rd season while old one only have 1 season. i will recommended to watch the latest version.

The Promised Neverland (anime)

Genre – Dark fantasy , science fiction , thriller

Season – 1 ( ep – 12)

Synopsis – Surrounded by a forest and a gated entrance, the Grace Field House is inhabited by orphans happily living together as one big family, looked after by their “Mama,” Isabella. Although they are required to take tests daily, the children are free to spend their time as they see fit, usually playing outside, as long as they do not venture too far from the orphanage—a rule they are expected to follow no matter what. Review – This was a fantastic anime. Absolutely worth watching. All charaters are great. Truly speaking , sometimes this anime gave me chills while watching. It has perfect animation and sound effects. Nothing to complain about. It a Definitely a yes.

Kaichou wa Maid-sama! (Anime)

Review – This anime was the second shoujo anime that I watched as beginner in anime’s world and this anime made me love the genre ‘shoujo’ . It was very nice high school rom-com . I love usui …… Well who wouldn’t love him after watching this anime. If you are a beginner as anime viewer or even if you have watched many but haven’t watched maid sama , I m telling you this is a must shoujo anime. No doubt..

Bungou stray dogs (S1)

Anime – bungou stray dogs.

Synopsis – For weeks, Atsushi Nakajima’s orphanage has been plagued by a mystical tiger that only he seems to be aware of. Suspected to be behind the strange incidents, the 18-year-old is abruptly kicked out of the orphanage and left hungry, homeless, and wandering through the city.While starving on a riverbank, Atsushi saves a rather eccentric man named Osamu Dazai from drowning. Whimsical suicide enthusiast and supernatural detective, Dazai has been investigating the same tiger that has been terrorizing the boy. Together with Dazai’s partner Doppo Kunikida, they solve the mystery, but its resolution leaves Atsushi in a tight spot. As various odd events take place, Atsushi is coerced into joining their firm of supernatural investigators, taking on unusual cases the police cannot handle, alongside his numerous enigmatic co-workers.

Review – Well I have already watched all three seasons so my review of 1st season can be affected by that. If compare s1 to other seasons then I would say other 2 seasons are better and much more interesting , but you can’t watch other 2 seasons without watching S1 😅 so I guess you have to watch S1 anyway. Coming back to the review think S1 was good introduction to all the characters. It was very funny , especially all the scenes of Dazai . The animation is very good 🤩. I love all the funny faces they make. The mystery is not very much I guess but I think that’s good enough. Not going to give any spoilers for those who haven’t watched it , and I think you should go and watch it s1 can be little boring sometimes but s2 and s3 won’t disappoint you. So it’s worth watching. Personally I loved the character Dazai and chuuya. Truly speaking I have come to love everything about Dazai 😅😅 so forgive me for that. Oh ya , one more important thing if you don’t know the characters name of bungou stray dogs and inspired by famous Japanese writers. 🤩 Isn’t that amazing …. I have even read the spider’s thread by Akutagawa .

Hirunaka no ryuusei

I don’t know what to say. I loved this. I loved this so much. I loved all the characters. I loved the love triangles . I love the beginning . I love the ending. OMG ! it’s such a lovely manga. Earlier after reading it’s synopsis online I was kinda avoiding it but atlast I thought to give this a try.. And I m glad I did. I loved everything about this manga. Secret – all male protagonist are handsome , don’t let your gaurd down😁😝.

Synopsis

Suzume Yosano has spent the entire 15 years of her life in the countryside, so when her parents decide to move overseas for work and leave her with her uncle in Tokyo, she finds herself in a whole new environment. On the way to her uncle’s house, however, she gets lost and faints.

Waking up safely at her uncle’s house, she learns that a strange man had carried her there and that he happens to be an acquaintance of her uncle. Moreover, when Suzume goes to her new school for the first time, she discovers that the weird man in question, named Satsuki Shishio, is actually her homeroom teacher! Now, Suzume must adapt to her new school and make friends, since her blossoming high school life in the city has just begun!

Dengeki daisy

Dengeki Daisy is a shoujo manga and I have just read it. It’s good. I liked the the relationship growth between teru and Daisy / Teri and kurosaki. Personally I love the comedy relationship between Riko and kurosaki. The representation of what actual friendship is what attracted me the most. Well art work is quite old but also funny😅. Sometimes I got quite bored in some chapters but I think that’s ok. Overall It was good.

Synopsis-

Before he died, Teru Kurebayashi’s brother gave her only a cell phone, telling her to contact “Daisy” if she ever needs someone to talk to. Now, even though she lives alone and without relatives, Teru never feels lonely because Daisy is her constant confidant and supporter.

In order to pay off a debt, Teru finds herself needing to work for the rude, inconsiderate, and abusive (not to mention quite handsome) school janitor, Tasuku Kurosaki. While her predicament seems on the opposite spectrum of her relationship with Daisy, maybe Teru’s two different worlds are more closely connected than she thought?

Hatsukoi wazurai

Just read this short manga. It has only 3 chapters. It’s a good one. What I love about this is it’s very short and crisp love story. It doesn’t have a proper drama which you normally find in shoujo manga . You can read this short manga as a short love story.

Synopsis –

High school student Hotaru has never been in love. To her, it’s a mysterious feeling, despite the advice of those around her, and she finds herself wishing she could experience it for herself… That is, until she meets Shinri – handsome, popular, and a shameless flirt – who offers to teach her about love. Could this be her chance to understand the mysterious feeling at last? And what, exactly, are Shinri’s intentions?

Koi wazurai no Ellie

I just ended reading this manga. I quite liked this . The art work was good. I got quite excited in the beginning but I don’t why later on it was kinda ‘ya ok , I know this will happen’ happened 😅. Well the couple really had a great chemistry . I love how much the boy understand and accepts her and same goes with the girl. And yes I know this is an ongoing manga . Still many things are yet to be revealed. Well not to lie , I m looking forward for next chapters. Hope it will be good too.

Akagami no shirayuki – Hime

Snow White with the red hair

I just finished watching ‘snow white with the red hair’ . Overall it was a good anime. I wasn’t disappointed from it. It had nice characters. I personally loved Shirayuki (the main character ) , Obi and  prince Izana. The animation was good too. For those who doesn’t knows the genres of this anime , it is as follows-: genre – Romance , history , fantasy , drama and shoujo.    This anime has 2 seasons till now each of 12 episodes. And it’s type is ‘summer 2015 anime’. It is both subbed and dubbed. Coming back to my opinion , I wasn’t very much Happy with this anime although it has good chemistry and relationship between the 2 main protagonist and it is quite easy going for them. 

If you really want to watch it anime you can go for it cause it your choice . But I won’t be much promising about this anime in terms of growth of characters.
